On January 3 Wangaratta will host its 24th annual Rodeo. This year an historical truck show will be an added attraction to the rodeo.  

The Australian chapter members of the American Truck Historical Society will be bringing their beautifully restored vehicles to Wangaratta for a static display and two parades. There will be up to 100 different makes and models, shapes and sizes of trucks. 

The trucks will assembe at Apex Park on the Saturday and then travel in a street parade before arriving at the Wangaratta Showgrounds. There will be a static display before a grand parade during intermission of the rodeo.

Wangarata rodeo will have a full program of events and be a qualifier for the international rodeo on May 9 in Rod Lava Arena. Country music will also feature at the rodeo.

Following the formalities of an Australia Day address, flag raising and certificate presentations, a community barbeque will be held. 

Family fun activities, such as novelty races before the movie begins at 9pm.
